The Advanced Gradient Controller panel is broken up into three main sections:
Specularity Tab
Redraw sample This button is used to refresh the gradient sample to reflect any changes the user has made to the gradient settins. Gradient Sample Bar This shows the current Diffuse gradient values and their Opacity. The top bar shows all active gradient values and positions from 0 to 100.
The bottom bar shows what percentage of the top bar will be mixed with the object surface and gradients from an other active Surface Tab in AGC. In the example above Use constant has been activated so 100% of the top bar values will be mixed with the object surface for the entire length of the gradient (from 0-100).
End behavior See Color Tab End behavior description.
Falloff leng This value works in conjunction with the End behavoir: falloff setting.
From These input fields allow the user to assign a start point for the gradient along the X, Y and Z axes respectively.
Read object This allows the user to use the position of an object in Layout to determine the From position. When this option is active the values in the From: input fields are ignored. In addition to interactive placement using Read object will also allow the user to animate the From: values.
To These input fields allow the user to assign an end point for the gradient along the X, Y and Z axes respectively.
Read object This allows the user to use the position of an object in Layout to determine the From position. When this option is active the values in the To: input fields are ignored. In addition to interactive placement using Read object will also allow the user to animate the To: values.
Radial shading This setting offsets the gradient and "ping pongs" the gradient from 0 to 100 and back to 0. See Color Tab Radial shading for example
Turbulence This setting allows the user to displace the gradient with fractal noise. The Turbulance value you may be any integer from 0 - 100. See Color Tab Turbulence for example
Active This setting determines whether the slot is active
Valuw This setting allows the user to assign a Specularity value for the current slot. The value may be any integer between 0 and 400.
Position This setting determines where in the gradient the current color will go. Range 0 to 100. a color at 0 will be positioned on the right end of the gradient sample bar.
This setting allows the user to set a single opacity value for the entire gradient.
Active This setting determines whether the slot is active
Value This setting determines the opacity of the current slot (if Use constant is not activated)
Position This setting determines where in the gradient the current Opacity value will go. Range 0 to 100. an Opacity value at 0 will be positioned on the right end of the gradient sample bar.
