The NatureFX Volume shader is useful when you want objects to reflect and refract NatureFX elements like Air and Clouds. It is also useful when using transparent objects in a scene that uses NatureFX air or clouds. The shader does not have an interface. All you need to do is apply the shader to the surface. The image below shows a scene that uses NatureFX air. A transparency map has been used on a flat polygon. Notice how the transparency does not render correctly in certain areas. NOTE: This shader currently does not allow the shadow of the object with this shader to be rendered correctly at all times.
Figure2 shows the problem fixed by simply applying the NatureFX Volume shader to the same surface.
Note: This shader is to be used ONLY with surfaces
that have no association with NatureFX. For example, the NatureFX
Ocean will reflect NatureFX air and cloud elements without having to
apply the special NatureFX Volume shaders. |
