The Project

Project loading and saving
A project, like a LightWave scene file, contains a description of all the particle groups, the controllers that affect them, and their settings (including any Envelopes).

Clear: Clears the current project and all of its settings.
Open: Opens a Particle Storm Project.
Save: Saves the current project.
Save As: Saves to a new name you specify.

NOTE!: You may notice that your projects take a while to load. That is normal if the project contains multiple particle groups and large .psm files. (Particle Storm loads the .psm file when a project is opened)

Quick Tip: Create a directory under your NewTek/Scenes folder and call it something like PSProjects. In there, create a directory called PSMdata. These will contain the project files, PSM files, and Particle Objects that you use with Particle Storm. This is a good way to manage your Particle Storm data.
Project Parameters
Clicking on Project will display the following settings in the parameter page. These settings allow you to alter the viewing area of the dialogue and Preview Window:

Name: The name of the current project.
Dialog Width: Width in pixels of the Particle Storm 2.0 dialogue.
Dialog Height: Height in pixels of the Particle Storm 2.0 dialogue.
3D View Width(%): Percentage of the dialogue used by the OpenGL preview widow.
Item View Size (%): Percentage of the dialogue used by the item view.
View Tile[Horizontal/Vertical]: This defines the viewing style of the Particle Storm 2.0 dialogue. (see images below)

NOTE: You MUST click on the OK button (the same one you would use to exit Particle Storm) to refresh the settings. If you do not do this, your viewing options will not update.
Creating a default project
When Particle Storm initially loads up, it loads a default project. You can customize this default project to contain whatever you want. To customize the default project file, customize the interface to your liking. Save the project to the name "psdefault.prj". Save this file to your content directory. When you load Particle Storm next time, it will get its default settings from this file.
