Any Layout item (lights, cameras and objects) can be used to animate or determine the position of controllers in Particle Storm. New "Tree Control" interface allows smooth workflow for rapid development. Easily clone, add or delete controllers. "Sticky Particles" can now stick to collision objects (eg: snow falling on a surface). The entire plug-in window (including OpenGL preview) is now re-sizable to as large as your desktop! Better control over particle viewing. View particles as pyramids, tails (particles now have size and direction), ticks, pixels, objects, or even strands. Use the polyons of an object as particles. Have the object disintegrate into particles or blow away in the wind. Sub-Objects allow you to use actual LightWave objects as particles and view them in the preview window. Any object can now define bounding shapes for controllers. Only in the Particle Storm 2.0 Pro Version: Particle Assembler allows a group of particles to form into any object, or an object to disassemble itself into particles. Particle Spawner allows new particles to be spawned from other particles based on collision age, speed, acceleration or simulation time. Particle Fields allow individual particles to repel or attract each other allowing you to create realistic fluid effects like water or plumes of volcanic ash. New Hair Controller used with Strands particle type allows you to grow hair that moves and reacts realistically. And much more. |
