DOCUMENTATION FORMAT
The documentation for each shader will consist of the following subsections:
· Type - describes the type of texturing that this shader performs. The major types are as follows: · · Description - very short description of what the shader's purpose is.

· Overridden Controls - indicates the controls within LightWave's "Surfaces Panel" which will become inoperable as a result of using this shader.

· Parameters Changed - indicates what parameters will be changed by this shader. This list can include any of:
· Shader Controls - This is a diagram with labels on the various Graphical User Interface features, describing their functions. This is the heart of the documentation for each shader.

· Notes - this sections contains various hints and tricks which you may want to use to achieve different results with this shader.

There are some parameters which many of the shaders have in common, "Texture Size" for example. In order to cut down on repetition and provide more space for explanation of other attributes, we have described the common parameters in a separate section. Whenever you see a screen shot of the shader GUI with its top or bottom "torn" away, refer to the Common Parameters section for explanation of the parameters not shown in the Shader Controls diagram but visible on your screen.
