USING THE SHADERS
Accessing the shader plug-ins is very easy. After installing the ShaderMan package run Layout and go into the "Surfaces Panel". Near the bottom of the panel to the left there is a button labeled "Shader Plug-ins: 0", pressing this button will pop up the "Shader Plug-ins" panel. From this panel you can access the shader plug-ins that come in the ShaderMan package. The ShaderMan plug-ins all start with the characters "SS_". For example the Blue Marble shader will be listed as "SS_Blue_Marble". Once a shader has been chosen from this list, the user interface for the shader can be accessed by pressing the "Options" button shown next to the name of the shader.

IMPORTANT:
If a shader uses its own illumination model then you may not be able to see the exact result of the shader unless you have turned off LightWave's default illumination model. It is recommended that when you start to use a shader, you set:

Luminosity 100%
Diffuse Level 0%
Specular Level 0%

Once you are happy with the result created by the plug-in, you can fine tune it by turning on LightWave's illumination model.
